IISS (Europe)
The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), founded in 1958, is an independent centre for research, information and debate on global security, political risk, and military conflict. It aims to provide, through publications and discussion forums, the best possible analysis on strategic trends, and to facilitate contacts that would lead to the development of better public policy in the fields of military power and international relations and security. Headquartered in London, the IISS has offices in Germany, the US, Singapore and Bahrain. The IISS Strategy, Technology, and Arms Control Program is based in the IISS=Europe office in Berlin and seeks to provide objective analysis of trends in global conflicts, the strategies and technology employed to achieve security policy aims, and how arms control can support achieving these aims.
