IRIAD (ITALY)
A non-profit NGO founded in 1982 that carries out research, information, education and training on disarmament, human rights, conflicts resolution and security issues. Research and training activities are organized in collaboration with leading Italian and international institutions and Universities. The Institute publishes the online monthly “IRIAD Review” (formerly “Information System on Cards”) since 1982. IRIAD is legally recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, by the Regione Lazio and by the United Nations, in the sector of Public Information. IRIAD hosts and owns a specialized Library, which is part of the Regional Librarian System. The institute also organizes peace education and trainings activities for high school students, teachers, peace operators and researchers.
