IREDIES (France)

The Sorbonne Research Institute for International and European Studies (IREDIES) is one of the Research Centres at the Sorbonne Law School, Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. The IREDIES brings together researchers in both International and European Law, with the aim of promoting their collaboration and their research on the interaction between European and International issues. With a significant number of Full and Associate Professors specialized in these fields of legal studies, the IREDIES is part of the top research centres on International and European Law in France and has built over the years an internationally recognised expertise.

Charlotte Beaucillon is an Assistant Professor at the Sorbonne Law School, Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University. Her reseach activities at the IREDIES focus on international law and the law of the external relations of the European Union. She is the author of a comprehensive monography on the restrictive measures of the European Union (Bruylant, 2014), and has more generally specialised on International sanctions. She is regularly invited as a sanctions legal expert, including in the field of non-proliferation.
