On 3 June 2020, Norway officially handed over the Chairmanship of the Hague Code of Conduct against ballistic missile proliferation to Switzerland.

Given the circumstances resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a physical Annual Regular Meeting of subscribing states could not be held, but it was postponed to Autumn 2020. 

The nineteenth Annual Regular Meeting of HCoC subscribing states took place in Vienna on 12 October 2020 under the Chairmanship of Switzerland, Chair for the period 2020-2021, with the participation
of 71 registered delegations.

The Subscribing States reaffirmed the threat to international peace and security posed by the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery, which constitutes a serious concern of the international community, in various regions of the world.“
