In August 2023, São Tomé and Príncipe became the 144th subscribing state to the Hague Code of Conduct.

The total number of African states that have subscribed to the HCoC now stands at 42.

The FRS held a seminar dedicated to African countries just a few weeks ago, on 22-23 June in Abuja, Nigeria, and had a chance to exchange with representatives of São Tomé and Príncipe.
