Caribbean regional seminar on HCoC in St. Kitts and Nevis
On 27 November 2018, the FRS organised a regional outreach seminar in St Kitts and Nevis dedicated to disarmament and non-proliferation in the Caribbean.
FRS organises a series of regional and/or sub-regional events, as well as country-specific expert missions. On 27 November 2018, the FRS organised a regional outreach seminar in St Kitts and Nevis dedicated to disarmament and non-proliferation in the Caribbean.
On 12 October 2018, on behalf of the European Union, the FRS organised a side event on the Hague Code of Conduct and Ballistic Missile Non-Proliferation, in the margins of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
On 28 May 2018, the FRS organised a lunchtime side event in the margins of the HCoC Annnual Regular Meeting (ARM) in Vienna. This workshop, which gathered both subscribing and non-subscribing states to the HCoC, was particularly focused on dealing with the missile threat in South Asia.
On 15 May 2018, the FRS organised a regional outreach seminar in Singapore in cooperation with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
On 8 May 2018, in cooperation with UNIDIR, the FRS organised a seminar at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on “Promoting Space Exploration while discouraging missile proliferation: the role of the Hague Code of Conduct”.
On 19 July 2017, the FRS conducted an expert mission to Bangladesh to discuss and debate the HCoC. This event was covered by the local newspaper BD Chronicle.
On 6 June 2017, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, an outreach event in support of both the HCoC and ballistic missile non-proliferation. This meeting took place at the Vienna International Centre in the margins of the HCoC annual meeting of subscribing states.
On 25 April 2017, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, a regional outreach seminar in Santiago (Chile) to raise awareness of ballistic missile proliferation and encourage discussions on perspectives to better address the ballistic missile proliferation threat at a regional level.
On 2 March 2017, the FRS organised a regional outreach seminar in Almaty (Kazakhstan) directed towards non-subscribing states in the region.
On 28 September 2016, the FRS organised, in collaboration with the Arab Institute for Security Studies (ACSIS), a regional outreach seminar in Amman directed towards non-subscribing states in the region. This event was held at the University of Jordan.
On 10 October 2016, on behalf of the European Union, the FRS organised a side event on the Hague Code of Conduct and Ballistic Missile Non-Proliferation, in the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
On 2 June 2016, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, an outreach event in support of both the HCoC and ballistic missile non-proliferation. This meeting took place at the Vienna International Centre in the margins of the HCoC annual meeting of subscribing states.
On 11 April 2016, the FRS conducted, in partnership with the Pretoria-based Institute for Security Studies, a mission in South Africa to promote the HCoC.
On 8 May 2015, on behalf of the European Union, the FRS organised a side event on the Hague Code of Conduct and Ballistic Missile Non-Proliferation, in the margins of the NPT Review Conference in New York.
On 18 March 2015, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, an outreach event in support of the HCoC and ballistic missile non-proliferation. This meeting took place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, in the margins of the Conference on Disarmament.
On 16 October 2014, the FRS organised a side event on behalf of the European Union in support of the Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation (HCoC) in the margins of the UNGA First Committee in New York.
On 1 July 2014, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, a regional outreach seminar to raise awareness of ballistic missile proliferation and encourage discussions on perspectives to better address the ballistic missile proliferation threat at a regional level. This event was held in collaboration with the Republic of Peru, at the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lima.
On 4 June 2014, the FRS organised, on behalf of the European Union, an awareness-building session in Prague about dual-use technology and knowledge transfer issues in order to prevent them in the field of ballistic missiles. The session allowed considering both trends in the technology transfer for ballistic missiles and what could be promoted to prevent it at an early stage. This workshop gathered experts from scientific, space and industry communities of HCoC subscribing and non-subscribing States.
