Marco Roscini is Professor of International Law at the Westminster Law School. Prof. Roscini has a PhD from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and was previously a Research Fellow in International Law at the University of Verona School of Law. He lectured in international security law (jus ad bellum, law of armed conflict, and disarmament law) at University College London (UCL), King’s College London and Queen Mary University of London.
Prof. Roscini has published widely in the field of international security law, including nuclear disarmament and cyber arms control. He is the author of Le zone denuclearizzate (Nuclear weapon-free zones, Giappichelli, 2003) and of Cyber Operations and the Use of Force in International Law(OUP, 2014). He is also the co-editor of Non-proliferation Law as a Special Regime (CUP, 2012). His scholarship has also appeared or is forthcoming in important peer-reviewed journals, as well as in several edited books. His publications have been widely cited in legal literature and judicial decisions. Prof. Roscini is a member of the International Law Association’s Committee on Nuclear Weapons, Non-proliferation and Contemporary International Law and of the European Society of International Law’s Interest Groups on Peace and Security and on the History of International Law He is also on the Editorial Board of several scientific journals. |

Dr. Marco Longobardo | Marco Longobardo is a Research Fellow in Public International Law at the University of Westminster, where he also teaches public international law, international human rights law, and other related subjects. He undertook his doctoral studies at the Sapienza University of Rome and previously lectured at the University of Messina, for the Italian Ministry of Defence, and for the Italian Red Cross. He has published extensively on public international law issues in international peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of International Criminal Justice, the Heidelberg Journal of International Law, and the Netherlands International Law Review. He is the author of the monograph The Use of Armed Force in Occupied Territory(Cambridge University Press 2018) and he has presented his scholarship at a number of important international conferences in UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy. |
